I love the window seat when traveling. It gives me many opportunities to appreciate nature and feel very blessed for having a pair of eyes to see. Each time there is that unique moment and view, I make sure I get my camera ready to take the shot.

Oh My World!!! The highlight of our 6th Mayan Adventure is our globetrotter couple activity - Cenote Maya rappel and zipline - approximately 70 ft from the top down to the sinkhole in harness and 85 ft deep waters!!! We're trying to cure our traumatic experience at the underground cave activity we did in Belize on our 2018 Mayan Adventure where Jake was saved from drowning in the water cave at Actun Tunich Muknal. This time in Yucatan, Mexico, we're a little frightened, but we were assured of our safety. We had so much fun!!! This was also our last international travel for 2020. We came back to the U.S. one week before the Covid-19 lock down.

On our horses to Petra!

Known as the Red Rose City, Petra is surrounded by mountains, half built and half carved into the rocks and dates back to the 1st century AD. Petra is Jordan’s stunning city of stone that brings all tourists from different parts of the world. Aside from being a 7th Wonder of the World and declared UNESCO heritage site, Petra is where Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade was filmed in 1989.

We were very excited in this tour! On November 15, 2018, after our tour in Egypt, we took a 2.5 hours flight form Cairo to Amman, Jordan. The following day, from Amman, we started in the morning our three hours of road trip to Petra. There is not a lot of exciting scenery at the road trip in the Desert Highway, but it is interesting to see the phosphate mines - which is one of the export products of Jordan. We had a short rest area stop where we also get to buy some snacks and souvenirs.

We finally arrived at Petra's visitor’s center it’s a 700-meter walk to the Siq entrance which is an impressive 1200 meter long gorge of a kaleidoscope of colors the towers more than 80 meters above us. As we exited the chasm, we were instantly transfixed by the beauty of Petra. The place speaks for itself... no wonder why it is chosen as one of the New World Wonders!
